A Japanese friend has just had a baby. Although she speaks English and is married to an English man, i would like to write a greeting in Japanese on the card i am making for them.
I can find a sort of translation on babelfish, but do i write it left to right or top to bottom?
I have looked on wikipaedia but it's very complicated!
Can anyone help?

Haijin Clanad! Those were good!
Suimasen, swedeheart... I only wish that I had originated them...
