Old Spectacles

Is there anywhere that will accept old spectacles (from the 1990s, not antique). I know Oxfam used to send them to third world countries, but I don't know if they are too old fashioned ..

if glasses are going to countries where no glasses avaliable,fashion not relivent,being able to see is all that's required.

Most, if not all opticians accept old glasses, to be sent away to charity.

My local Specsavers has a container for unwanted specs to be refurbished & sent to 3rd World countries. You could give your local store a ring:)

Many opticians including our own local independent one will accept old spectacles which they collect and donate to overseas charities in the third world. It doesn't matter how old they are. if you're in danger of becoming virtually blind through lack of spectacles, fashion doesn't enter into it.
