Here in Northern Ireland we have a thing about flags. In our town some people have put up flags up on lamposts just to annoy others. I know most of them, Palestinian ,Basque, Lebanon etc ,most with a terrorist connection! One beats me, its royal blue with a yellow sunburst in the right corner.
Any ideas?

this one? (possibly being flown upsidedown)

look at the bottom of the page it says

At the present time, the Sunburst is used by the Republican and the Irish-language movements. The sunburst motif also continues to be employed for military purposes, as in the colour of the army's military college.
Sounds like its being flown upside down...

Thanks to you all ,that sunburst is the one.
lol glen..ya should have heard the row when i put up ss and swastika flags for july on the lisburn road!..they just didn't see the funny side! :0)
I favour the Buddhist swastika myself. I of course take elaborate care not to provoke professional offence takers who fail to observe that it's a mirror image of the Nazi one - itself cribbed from the Buddhist one and got back to front, btw!
That would be the funny side of mine of course, glen.
