Learning French
3 Answers
Hello. I'm really interested in working in france, perhaps for a year or maybe longer. I know basic French but really want to develop it over the next few years. I'd love to be fluent one day.
Does anyone have any advice about how I can go about starting this?

The only thing to do is to apply for jobs and see what happens. All depends on what you want to do. If working as a waitor/waitress or similar job could be an option you could have a good chance especially in tourist areas where they need people who speak English. Quite a few more wealthy parents look out for English au pairs so their kids pick up English easily. However, being an au pair can be a lonely existance and you might not improve your French!
