Non-sexist term of endearment for women?

You can call a man 'mate', but what is the female equivalent term of friendly familiarity? 'Mate' or 'pal' is generally masculine. 'Doll' or 'sweetheart' is patronising or sarcastic. The American 'dudette' (female of 'dude') is sometimes used in fun, but only in America.

Sugar is often used in my circle of friends, as is sweetness and surprisingly ducks or ducky. I like them all and to be honest I'm not sure that I would dislike any name used in a friendly manner by people I liked being with. Honey, cherub, luvvy, love, petal, ducks, sweetie, darling.

i have different words or terms for different friends.... (they know who they are!!! lol)
