Every year its the same; We get paid at the end of every month but come Christmas we get paid early (on the 18th) which means there's a hell of a long wait until the end of Januarys pay run.
Everyone moans about it and doesnt seem to grasp the concept of budgeting. We get paid the same every month so you just have to make it last. We're all getting paid early so we should have money left over from Novembers pay - which will help.
I dont understand the mentality. I dont get paid a huge sum and have to make it last as well. I really cant see the problem.
Are people really going to rush out and spend all their money because they've been paid 10 days early?
yes that happens where I work. Because of all the moaning this year we offered to pay early in January aswell, to make it easier and they said no!!!!!!!!
we are getting paid on the 22 instesd of the 25th but i budget until the 25 and don't spend it early, it also helps as i don;t celebrate xmas i don;t have lots of extra costs this month!
I know my last time by my current work is in the very near future, either beginning of Jan or maybe only a month later, and my other half has been out of work for 3 months now (he is a contractor) so yes, it is very much atleast I am getting paid!!!
iusually put my early december wages into my other internet account for 10 days (or however long) as it just takes a few clicks and hey presto it feels like i haven't been paid at all! Then i put it back in my account on the last day of the month, when i normally get paid and there you go. Simples.
When I first started teaching, in 1970, we got paid for July and August in July! Even with the very best of intentions, we ate a lot of beans towards the end of September!
