How often do you give to charity? Do you give money to people waiting outside supermarkets with cash boxes? I tend to avoid the charities I've never heard of and also I know animals need money too but I never give to those charities. I tend to give to charities that have been a part of my life or helped people I know and family like McMillan or MS. Anyway I just took a stroll to supermarket and their was a big bus outside from local radio station and I was stopped my a man (very fit may I add) who said they were trying to fill the bus with easter eggs for children. So I went in shop and bought one to donate. Would you have done so? If not what lengths do you go to to avoid paying up?

Yes I would have done the same, and like you am rather selective about what I give to. If its not clear from the collector what the cause is I ask them about it and if they are vague, I pass.
yes, I would do the same thing 4getmenot - but what I object to is people knocking on my door saying they are collecting for this and that charity - I only got stung once and never again.
that would depend on whether ii had enough money on me at the time. i usually give to charity but it tends to be friends asking for sponsorship or help for hero's and i quite often stick odd change into collection boxes
That's a very thought provoking title 4get! :-)

Just seeing it in the grey box I thought W.T.F. lol
I give to: Cancer charities, Children's charities, Servicemen, Poppies and the like.

I don't give to: Cat sanctuaries, RSPCA or animal charities - I'm not totally heartless (unless it's cats....) but I do prefer to give to humans.
I would have bought an easter egg yes. I also buy cat food for the local cats home. I refuse to put money in buckets. I think a lot of it ie £1 coins are creamed off. I also give to cancer research and cancer care.
it is good to see that there is still some caring people in the world. I have a severly disabled daughter and i always give to those relevant charities......Keep it up!

my mum says so :-)
I dont mind donating to local fund raising for things for kids, communities, animals ect but I wont dontate to the big charities who have chairmen driving around in big mercs because of the 3 pound a month donations
I tend to give to most of the people that collect outside supermarkets. I really admire them for what they do. I don't miss the money and every little helps. I do prefer the small local charities though and I do give more to some than others. And I am a sucker for the local, small animal charities. We all have our favourites,

Was that at W. 4-get.
btw, I too thought this was a thread about fertility!!
