Not quite sure where to post this, but here goes.

Since the recent changes to AB, a few people (me included) have said that the orange coloured question titles displayed in the 'latest posts' box on the right are now less easy to spot, and that got me thinking.

What encourages you to read, and possibly answer a question? The question itself, the category, or the last user-name displayed in the grey box?

Category mainly, as am no expert on certain topics. But I also like to react if I see a plea from someone I have chatted to regularly to see how they are doing too.
hello naomi, I seldom come in society & culture............................so question jointly with user name for me.
I just follow Mick around ↑
Yep. same as Mick - question and poster, but sometimes I'll mentally filter the question if it's in a category I know little about. Sometimes, however, I look at them all!
Yes but he was following me!! Or am I stalking naomi??
well when i saw ..What attracts you i was going to say 'saras bum' but i couldn't because naomi didn't include it in the options.
mammyas bust used to attract my attention,
but apparently they are arms :0(
Any question that I notice at the top right generally. I'll usually only go looking for questions around S&C area.
I find that box alot harder to read now and so i go into the categories and browse in tere rather than be arsed with it, why they've faffed with that and left the search and post a question boxes still close together AND still the same colour is anyones guess, AB pick some daft things to 'fix'
Normally stay with CB though follow a few user-names, particularly those who are witty or contentious in a constructive way. Don't have too much time for the ranters or idiots.
I'll have a quick look down the 'latest posts' list when I first arrive and, if anything looks interesting or is on a thread I'm already following, I look there first. After that, I work my way down the topics list, again just looking at the topics that interest me. I look at the questioner last. If it's someone genuine, then I'm more inclined to have a closer look. If it's a known prat or a'hole, then I may have a quick look to amuse myself or I may not.
I find the box harder to read, too, especially latest poster. I tend to look at the question and the poster but sometimes I'm led by the poster first.
I'm embarrassed to say that I always thought they were boobs on mamya's avatar too, I can see they are arms now I've looked properly.
I just look for the trouble makers and ..................

.......and? So does that mean you answer the question or avoid it?
if a question keeps getting responses I tend to pop over regardless of the subject to have a gander.

I've only briefly ventured away from S & C/ R&S, so it's usually a question within those categories and if a person frequently puts forth interesting questions I may sway toward their name.
My name used to be Luna-tic, then Luna-sea so if you see any old posts with that name. It's me
I like to keep an eye on Society and Culture & animals and nature but generally speaking I watch the latest posts.
I've been away for quite a while, what's happened? The site is not very pleasing to the eye anymore.
My latest posts are maroon....

I browse by category until I see a name I'm familiar with in the latest post. If I see 'keyplus' I will always click :-)
