What do you think is the general attitude of the majority of people who would have the ability to use the internet? I think mostly they seem to be quite liberal and I seem to notice that a lot of atheism is out there.

over 30million people in the UK use the internet every day (60% of the population) do you really think that there will be a "general attitude" shared by all those people?

Or is it maybe more reasonable to think that a pretty wide cross section of society use the internet with a wide range of attitudes towards all subjects.

Every opinion under the sun is represented on the internet flob, and those views are far too diverse to generalise in the way you do.
I suspect that your feeling that there is a preponderance of liberal or atheist views is more of a confirmation bias on your part than anything else.
Certainly on most forums I have visited, the voices of right and left, libertarian and socialist, theistic and atheistic are all heard, forcefully.
You only have to look here in the news section for oft-expressed views from the right and left of the political spectrum are equally and forcefully broadcast.
