Have the Irish lost their passion?
5 Answers
Financially there is a general consensus that Ireland is screwed for many years to come. A lot of people are annoyed at the way the government have bailed out banks and other rich friends and lumped the bill onto the taxpayers by cutting everything and then cutting some more. I saw this article http://www.fpif.org/b...ost_of_padraic_pearse and it just made me think. I don't think the Irish have it in them anymore to say as he puts it "Enough", I think we are a broken people, now used to having our government becoming detached from reality. They are in their own little microcosm and don't have a clue of the misery they have inflicted.

They will screw Ireland's workers/taxpayers for generations with their loan repayment/interest demands, with the aim of profiting from the little resources Ireland have and their public services. The government grossly mismanaged the banking fiasco and just copied Britain's example with regards to regulation. Unfortunately the people are in the hands of the subservient politicians, just like in Britain.
