Why do muslims feel compelled to pray in the street when they do not have access to a mosque (this practice has just been banned in France)? Why don't they pray in a garden or park where they will not be a public nuisance.
I have only seen it as an overspill from the mosque I don't know why they do this as the street will be generally an unclean place - totally at odds with muslim prayer guidelines
Re Bobbi's thread on someone trying to get out of the plane on the Majorca-Newcastle flight, this would definitely get me off the flight/going for the door.
Yes, that's about right DT - and Jomifl. Been there, there - and there - but can't say 'and done it'! Blimey, with all that caterwauling it's no surprise their god doesn't listen! Headache central!
Sara.. a street is a street wherever it is. The videos were examples of praying in the street for those who thought it was just the odd muslim throwing a prayer mat on the ground.
