There were strata with all the right fossils in them, fully grown trees with the right number of year-rings, gorges supposedly cut out by glaciers, mountains of limestone from marine life that never existed, navels for Adam and Eve and so on. He wrote it all in a book called Omphalos and expected to become celebrated. He was very hurt when all the world did was laugh.
The weird thing about this potty idea is that there is no way that science can ever refute it. No matter how old something is found to be by the scientific method, Gosse would say "Yes of course, God made it look that way!"

OK for the fun of it lets say I believe this
I very much doubt your rock has been carbon dated to 150 million years old
1/ Carbon dating is only applicable to living or once living objects as they have to have taken up carbon from the atmosphere
2/ Carbon dating can only be used to date up to about 60,000 years ago or so
Now If I believed this young Earth I might argue that carbon dating is wrong and unreliable because you are assuming the rate of radioactive decay was the same in the past as it is now and you don't know this.
What other evidence have you got?

No, I don't believe the earth was created 6000 years ago.
The Bible simply states “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Ge 1:1) Just how long ago the starry heavens and the earth were created is not stated. Therefore, there is no basis for Bible scholars to take issue with scientific calculations of the age of the planet. Scientists estimate the age of some rocks as being three and a half billion years, and the earth itself as being about four to four and a half billion or more years.
With regard to the six creative days of the Genesis account. these days refer. not to the creation of earth, but with the arranging and preparing of it for man to live on it.
