Most of the Old Testament contains a potted history of the Jews. Some lovely stories there - most of them unbelievable in the extreme as shown by the Hollywood versions of them.
I have tried to read the bible, but was deeply put off by the amount of pushing, killing and lying it tries to justify. Now I keep it in a pentagram of blood, so it cannot harm me.
D97, it's like the lottery draw, Elderman pulls balls out of 3 different boxes, one for book, one for chapter, one for verse, then he tries to link the quote to the thread.. which is why every quote so far is linked so incredibly tenuously. They tought him that in the first week of Sunday school, now he's an old pro!
