Muslim convert figures prior and post 9/11

What are the statistics prior and post 9/11 of non muslims converting to islam?
If you don't know could you tell me did figures rise or decline after 9/11 or where the figures not affected?

As far as I'm aware, there are no official verifiable statistics relating to converts available.

We had an English man come to our city mosque and asked to be converted to Islam. I don't know why he wanted to convert, i just heard people talking about him. He did the relevant procedures etc, and was asked if he had been circumcised, he said yes as a child, due to infections, and so they converted him. He has gone onto marrying a Muslim woman and is very committed to the religion as is the wife, both pray 5 times a day, he learnt all this just recently.
