I do not like Christmas.

I do not like Christmas and will be pleased when it is all over and we can get back to what passes for normality, I will go to Church tomorrow, probably for all the wrong reasons, then it can end. I dislike the consumerism and, what I consider, false bonhomie that has now overtaken what should be just a celebration. Unfortunately other members of my family do not see it the way I do. Does anyone else dislike Christmas?
A happy Christmas to everyone, even those who do not believe in any God, and do not want to celebrate tomorrow and rather enjoys the consumerism and bonhomie (Real or false) of the holiday.

I hate this time of year the thought of it fills me with dread in the period leading up to Christmas. I know that part of the reason is my ongoing mental health problems but part of it is just 'me'. I don't like the disruption to my routine and the isolation of everything (GP, vet etc) being shut - even though I will probably never need their services.

I don't dislike christmas but now that the kids have grown up and don't live in the same city as us, we didn't even bother with a tree this year. Our festive dinner consisted of two(instead of one) slices of ham on sandwiches. We did enjoy the traditional slouching on the couch all afternoon doing absolutely nothing and sort of watching a load of cr@p on TV.
