How many ABers believe in God.?

Personally, I think the answer is most do not believe.

Without anyone admitting in this thread whether they believe or not, my curiosity could be answered by an official poll being conducted by AB's Ed.

Should therefore I put forward the matter in the 'Suggestions' category.

If you look at the UN polls 50% of the UK's population don't believe in G

The same polls show less than 10% of the pop. regularly attend a place of worship. This has been confirmed in the last census.
According to the Mormons the UK is the most secular country in the world.but
Sweden has the highest number of people 90% who actually say they don't believe in God.
I should imagine UK ABers fit the 50% model .

I don't believe in god and never have. If other people believe in god(s) then that is fine with me.

People who use religion to con people out of money, kill, persecute and make the life of others intolerable should be ostracised from civilised society.

I didn't intend that folk should admit in this thread whether or not they are believers. A poll would have been anonymous; unless people commented in the Poll's thread and I was merely enquiring if I should put the matter forward to the ED, as a suggestion for his consideration.

Although I had thought that my question had 'run it's course' I am quite pleased to have further comments on the issue concerned.

i don't - and was brought up a roman catholic. the hypocrisy, fear-mongering (sic) and downright lies battered into me as a child made me rebel against god, my parents and just about anything else. i think religion is pathetic, and those who put their blind faith in any church are just plain stupid. in this age of enlightenment, i fail to see how any intelligent person can fall for the twaddle that is peddled - by priests/leaders/elders (whatever you want to call them) who mostly feel they are above/superior to everyone else is mind boggling. religious people remind me of sheep - and are just about as useful.....

Icg76.....I know a bit about the Catholic faith because my Grandfather came to Wales from Ireland and was a devout member of the faith, but married a protestant. Upon the birth of his first child (my father's elder brother) he vowed that he would never ever again set foot into Church; because no child of his was to be forced into a religion, as he was.
