Yes, i understand recent years have not shown Islam in a good light, however other religion have and are doing bad things aswell, yet there is less hatred for these than there are for islam. Why?

Also people dont seem to understand the term "minority". Only a minority of muslims do bad things yet the whole religion is blamed. Again, why?

SandyRoe, I’ve had a look at your link, flicking through the various pages. It appears to be constructed by a bunch of pseudo smart ar$es whose sole purpose is to undermine and ridicule the genuine concerns people have for the appalling effect that radical Islam is having upon this world, so I don’t think that Loonwatch, which clearly has a very definite agenda, can be presented as impartial. The highly amusing(?) slogan ‘the mooslims, they’re heeere’ emblazoned across the top of the web page speaks volumes. That said, the fact remains you immediately pointed the finger in the wrong direction – and then had the temerity to suggest that other people were suffering from planks in eyes. Perhaps some Optrex could help?

The page heading with, "The Mooslems, they're heeere!" on it is a subtle reference to another time when the USA was in the grip of paranoia. During the height of the Cold War in 1966 there was a film, "The Russians are coming The Russians are coming".
I suppose if you weren't a cineasté you might easily miss it.

During the early part of The Troubles here in Belfast there was a murder gang operated not very far from where I lived. They would drive about the edges of Catholic areas after the pubs closed looking for drunk men making their way home. The ones they caught they killed and mutilated with butchers knives. The killers were known as 'The Shankill Butchers' and were all nominal Protestants.
No one could claim that this murderous action was representative of the entire world-wide Protestant communion. They were caught up in turbulent political times. Their violence was political.
In the same way that the actions of a few cut-throats from Belfast can't be taken to represent all of Protestantism, the violence emanating from troubled parts of the Islamic world shouldn't be seen as representing the entirety of the Ummah.
People who would be outraged if it was suggested that they were bigoted in any other way seem quite happy to pour out scorn on an entire religion because of the political actions of a few of its nominal followers.

Claiming that scorn is poured on to an entire religion because of the political actions of a few of its nominal followers is disingenuous. Whilst the political actions of those nominal followers have serious repercussions on the world and are rightly condemned by most, they do not account for the less savoury practices of Islam – but perhaps because we are expected to respect religion we should all follow the lead of the apologists here and simply overlook them or pretend they aren’t happening.
