I have just received three powerpoint files with graphic pictures of what happens to the arm of an 8 year old boy who pinched some food on a market, very disturbing photos of homo sexuals and how women are disfigured who refuse to marry the man that is chosen for them.

This is all done in the name of peace and love to make the offenders aware of their shortcomings, the religion of peace and love.

Should we actively reject this cruel and invasive religion in Society or should we continue as now, so we will all be subjected to this religious law in the future?

No, I think it applies to other cultural and religious groups too.
Thought so.
here's about arranged marriages - all over the place http://en.wikipedia.o...iki/Arranged_marriage
Baza, Just going when I spotted your post. As I said, that's because they're living by their parents' rules and they have no choice. Hopefully they won't follow suit with their own children.

Got to go. Night again. x
Why does such a small percentage of our population cause so much fear?
I live 11 miles west of Birmingham and at my Daughters school of 1000 pupils there isn't a single Muslim.
They tend to be concentrated in their own areas, probably out of choice.
95% of the UK is non Muslim..It's all paranoia
my observations were just that, hopefully in years to come the childrens children will become more westernised.

bluestone //I still wanna know why someone was sending Wildwood "disturbing pictures"..//

You may find it acceptable, but in my mind photos of multiple hangings just because people are homo-sexual is very disturbing to me.
Wildwood, in fairness I don't think Bluestone was saying she finds the things you describe acceptable. As I understand it she's just wondering why someone sent you the pictures.

//Should we actively reject this cruel and invasive religion //

The practices you describe are not only cruel - they are barbaric in the extreme - and I think most people are appalled by them and do reject them - but I'm not sure that we can 'actively reject' the religion. How would you propose we do that?
What?! Where did I say it was "acceptable". Read my posts, For Funks Sake.
I said "yes Ratter, I agree, it's barbaric". I have nowhere on this thread said I think these horrendous acts are "acceptable".

My, somewhat flippant, comment merely asked how/why you were sent these "disturbing photos" in the first place.

Jeez...
We just need to keep the muslims talking on forums like this. They clearly reveal their profound ignorance, incredible arrogance and the deeply fascist philosophy.

The internet will ultimately be their undoing but many will suffer at the hands of the faithful as they reject the misogynist dogma.

It is also important to point out that Christianity comes from the same beginnings and their fascist attitudes persist to this day among the most devout.

The who concept of a prophet is ridiculous, not more so than the womanising hypocrite that founded Islam. The crazy Jesus myth also beggars belief.
Hear, hear!!
@ "The crazy Jesus myth also beggars belief."
The whole lot of it beggars belief.

because many western people still believe that the persecution of non-conformist or offenders to Islam is a bit of an overstated fable.
A presentation of photos on how an 8 year old boy was held on the ground by an adult sitting on him and his arm was held out so a car drove over it while the poor kid was screaming brings the reality home, all because he was hungry and pinched some food from the market.
Graphic photos of men being hung in public with the crowd cheering on just because they were homo sexual, is not something that fleets by in my mind.
A person having his eye removed with a spoon without any sedative because he did something wrong is not a pretty sight.
Many actual photos of women grossly disfigured with acid because they disobeyed their husband with him being 'within his rights' to do that is beyond me.

There may be many 'good' muslims living in the western world but as the London bombing shows, they are quick to revert to their teachings when called upon.

If you read Naomi's paragraph again you'll find that in fact she said that you would NOT find the atrocities acceptable.

I will probably be castigated but will from now on not be tolerant and decry anything to do with Islam.
Wildwood, // If you read Naomi's paragraph again you'll find that in fact she said that you would NOT find the atrocities acceptable.//

Yes, that is what I said – but I was subsequently rather perplexed at Bluestone’s ‘hear hear’ comment, which appears only to apply to the Jesus myth.

Bluestone?

Wildwood, Bluestone and I think others didn't ask you to give a discription of the photos. They asked how you came about them. Why were they sent to you and who by.

^cassa, read my last post above, it clearly states that "because many western people still believe that the persecution of non-conformist or offenders to Islam is a bit of an overstated fable."
It appears that judging by the more informed ABers contribution above, that distribution of the realities of Islam is a desired practice so that Society can make more informed choices as to the desirability of Islam in the Western Society.
I find that my tolerance of other's beliefs now does not extend to Islam and I make no apologies for that. what do you think would happen if someone goes to Iran and waves a "Down with Islam" banner, and see how they you last. I am confident that they would not leave the country alive.

I'm sorry, I did not completely answer your question. It is one of those email things that goes from person to person. I don't usually believe those things but these are very descriptive. It was sent to me by a friend and I shall send it on to others in my contacts.

If you have any doubt about the authenticity of these happenings, I suggest I suggest you google iran gay hung[i or [i] iran wife abuse] and make up your own mind.
