"Science refutes God" - sounds totally unbiased there, no prejudgment at all.

Its a debate. A debate presents both sides of an argument. So, you are correct - no bias there.
I will be interesting to hear what god has to say if he turns up.
Jom, he has depended upon his sycophantic minions for the past 2000 years, so there's no reason to expect him to surface now. Unfortunately the debate is too late for me. Hopefully I'll catch an action replay tomorrow.
There was an interesting documentary on the hisory of Rome on BBC4 tonight. Next week gets interesting as it should cover the period when the Roman civil service took over the christian movement and bent it to it's own needs.
I've recorded that.
I'm sure millions of devoted christians will be watching spellbound as they learn how their religion actually came about......or not.
Thanks for that, LZ. Damn, didn't spot the BBC4 program, Jom. If you haven't read it look up Chapter 15 of Gibbon's Decline and Fall on the Constantine period. ("It is the duty of the historian to seek the secondary causes by which Divine Providence achieved its aims" - my paraphrase).
Also recommend (to those who haven't seen it) the Intelligence Squared debate on religion with C. Hitchens (RIP) and Fry against Scruton and Widdecombe. You'll find that on YouTube.
Thank V_E I'll get on to that :-)
'God' and science can't exist on the same bill. Even if there was a God, science couldn't prove it - just like it can't prove that there isn't.

Should be:

Science Vs Fairy Stories

or

God Vs Flying Spaghetti Monster
Thanks, Naomi.
I got around to watching this and felt myself saying throughout .... "hang on" .... "but". So frustrating not to be able to pick up on points missed or passed over. Thank you for posting it, LG. I recommend it to all.
VE, you're welcome.
Science Refutes Model of God. That should be the title.
Keyplus, and you watched it of course. ;o)
