Why is God supposed to have created animals other than humans? It doesn't make sense?

If it was to please Men than why are so many never seen because they live in remote inaccessible places. We are certainly are not meant to be on the absolute top of the foodchain as many people are killed by animals and indeed, were common food for prehistoric carnivores.

>>>many people are killed by animals and indeed, were common food for prehistoric carnivores

Evidence? There haven't been many large carnivores living on this planet during the very short space of time that man has been around. Dinosaurs died out at least 60 million years before the earliest recognised form of man existed. Species such as Smilodon (and other so-called sabre-toothed tigers) co-existed for a short while with man, but were almost certainly hunted out of existence by man. Mammoths and mastodons were both vegetarian. So which species are you referring to, Wildwood?
you need the the large animals to eat the small animals that are needed to eat the insects that eat the small insects or the world would be ... but then why does it have to make sense
We are top of the foodchain because any man killed by animals is unusual and not a necessity for their survival. Having said that you can't expect a logical answer to why did God do anything.
"... So which species are you referring to, Wildwood?"
Something he saw in the Flintstones maybe ;-)
If you start by assuming that God created animals then you are never going to make any sense of it. Understanding evolution solves your problem.
