Does The Edl Really Have Any Clue Of What Is Going On?

If anything, the EDL seems to be the group that has caused more long lasting damage. Two Muslims killed a soldier, yet does this allow you to go around targeting mosques which had nothing to do with the attack?

The answer lies within the Muslim community, as well as every other community as well. If communities pulled together this issue will be sorted easier. Yes, Muslims have to sort it out, which believe it or not, they are trying. But it does not help when mosques and Muslims are attacked simply because they are Muslim or islamic.
And it doesn't help when buses and trains are blown up, or when young soldiers are hacked to death with meat cleavers on their home soil! You can hardly be surprised that some will seek retribution. There are people within the Muslim community who know which of their number holds extremist views - but they remain silent - and that needs to change.

Jesus once said: Return your sword to its place, for all those who take the sword will perish by the sword.
And when you look at that time Could there have been any higher cause for which to fight than to safeguard the Son of God? Yet, Jesus here indicated that those true disciples were not to resort to weapons of physical warfare.

Goodlife, //Jesus here indicated that those true disciples were not to resort to weapons of physical warfare.
Is that why he told his disciples to sell their cloaks to buy swords? Yet more contradictions from a book that allegedly contains no contradictions!
//Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. // Luke 22:36

Why does the EDL exist ? Primarily it is because thugs need a platform but there is also another important reason and that is, that communities hide their extremist members within their ranks. Northern Ireland is a classic example . At the moment the inactivity of the Islamic communities to weed out their extremists opens the door to the likes of the EDL.
Propaganda, preaching, indoctrination through ritualisic praying, chanting etc all play their part in Brainwashing a society. Inevitably this is divisive
and IMO religion is the greatest cause.

I do not support this killing, but cant this be argued the other way than? That some Muslims are right to protest at the British and American troops killing people in countries like Afghanistan and Iraq, drone strikes in Pakistan, that they are right to protest when Israel kills the Palestinians? As said, i do not support the killing.

Lightbulb, Firstly, if you read my posts properly, I’ve made it perfectly clear that retribution of this nature is wrong – so no, it can’t be argued the other way.
Secondly, protest is not retribution, but hacking a man to death in cold blood with a butcher’s cleaver is – and for that there can be no justification. Your protesters are happy to burn poppies, and to shout and scream about the perceived injustices taking place in other countries – countries that most of them chose to leave - and you are eager to support them - but how many of them will be out on the streets with their banners in protest at the appalling slaughter than took place in Woolwich this week? Perhaps you can let me know. I’ll join them.
As Birdie said, Muslims are Muslims first, regardless of nationality, and even though you’re an indigenous Englishman, that very clearly applies to you too - but think on this. If your adopted ‘brothers’ hadn’t started blowing us up, killing and maiming thousands of innocent people indiscriminately, they would have nothing to protest about.
When you were born in just about the most socially aware country in the world, one that offers every opportunity, I simply cannot fathom your reasoning in aligning yourself to these people, and moreover, to their backward philosophy. Intellectually you have voluntarily stepped back into the dark ages. Madness!
