You see people will tell you of end-of-the-world scenarios, and we have Books, movies, and magazines, ranging from the comic to the scientific, portray an assortment of doomsday catastrophes. They include annihilation by nuclear war, asteroid collision, deadly virus, runaway climate change, or invaders from outer space, what a world we live in.

@Goodlife - The only people who routinely proclaim, with prophetic certainty, that the world is due to come to an end, are the JWs.

Movies, Comics, books might discuss catastrophic world endings, but mostly for speculation and fun. Its mostly fiction. Like the current obsession with zombies and a zombie apocalypse, for instance.

I find the world we live in a great one, full of marvel and love and friendship and experience and pleasure, personally....

Maybe if you obsessed less about your holy book and all the supposed imperfections of non-beleivers and spent a bit more time just doing stuff you would be a happier and more contented individual...

The way the Earth will end is certain . It will end when the Sun gets to the end of its life in 2.5 billion years or so and expands to be so large that the Earth will actually be inside the Sun. It has nothing what ever to do with 'God' or religion or sin or afterlife .
