Why Are Jews Persecuted By Christians If They Were The Instruments Of Humankind's Salvation?

I do not understand why the Jews have been, and are still being in some quarters, persecuted by Christians.

Jesus was a Jew, as were his entire family, the people to whom he preached, and all of his followers and supporters. He probably would not recognize the Gentile religion created in his name by Paul of Tarsus, another Jew. Christian tradition blames the Jews for not recognizing Jesus’ divinity, and also blames them for his ignominious death by crucifixion. However, according to Christian theology, Jesus’ death was pre-ordained by God as the means through which the sins of the world were removed and humankind was saved. So why persecute those who were alleged to have brought about this wonderful salvation? Should they not instead be applauded for carrying out God’s intentions and helping save humankind? Similarly Judas Iscariot: if he really did betray Jesus, was he not simply carrying out God's wishes?

Usury, Jewish (and other) gold dealers, and origins of banking; In earlier times dealers and makers of jewelry and precious objects, unlike dealers in less value commodities like, say, vegetables, had to keep their goods safe from thieves by various methods of security. Then owners of precious objects asked if they would be allowed to deposit their valuables with them for safe keeping. It doesn't seem unreasonable of the keepers, to have asked for a small fee - perhaps based on a percentage of value for doing so. The keepers became rich without seemingly doing very much hard labour, and then resentment and jealousy raised its head. (Something like that)

True Paul never met Jesus in the flesh. However, it was not Paul who founded Christianity.

The word Christian actually means - footstep follower of Christ.
Paul was known as an Apostle to the Nations. Whereas Peter was given the keys to the Kingdom, in other words he preached primarily to the Jews, then the Samaritians and finally, the Gentiles. Paul. although he preached to Jews, he mainly went to the other nations.

I do not follow Paul.

In principle the only distinction between Jews and Christians is whether or not they recognise Christ as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies. While the various epistles contain (sometimes conflicting) guidance, which in turn can conflict with some OT passages, I don't think it's fair to say that those epistles define what it is to be Christian -- or "Pauline" as Naomi would have it.

Given that there are a large number of Christians, I expect that there are probably some who do follow Jesus actually. They may or may not be in the minority, and probably are given some of the frills and excess that Catholicism adds of its own invention. But short of going round and speaking to every Christian there ever has been or will be you don't know -- you really don't -- that your sweeping statement is true.
