In a previous thread it was said “it was cowardly & despicable” because the suggestion was made to ask a JW when they call why they don’t accept blood. Well, this question can be answered but do you Really know why it is they don’t take blood!

I would appreciate it if answers were serious and not ridiculous. Any that are mocking and ridicule will not receive a response.

Does the bible really enjoin us not to eat black pudding?
It is worth bearing in mind that it is pretty well impossible to remove all traces of blood from animal products so for a true JW (the go to heaven variety) it is a diet of vegetables and dairy products (hell on earth) only, not even black pudding(cooked).

Goodlife isn't going to heaven. He's going to be one of those who will reside in a perfect earth absent of anyone except Jehovah's Witnesses. Bring on the fillet steak! :o)
Death resulting from refusing a blood transfusion for your child on religious ground is nothing short of manslaughter by refusing to provide the necessities of life.
I know! I know! It's because you've all been told not to by an article in a magazine, and if tomorrow you were told that it was actually now allowed because of some new 'interpretation' then you would 'take blood'.

This answer is serious (and also correct) and I'd be interested in your feelings about it.

My 'Save a life,Give Blood' poster in the front window works wonders at keeping the JWs from knocking on my door.
I have now given 48 blood donations, I bet I have saved more lives than 'Jehovah'.

You never give a response.

My blood transfusion meant....

A) I did not die aged 26 and leave my husband and daughter.

B) I went on to have a second child.

C) I have made it to 60 and am very happy.

Any rule or religious doctrine that forbids me that does not get my vote.
My experience similar to Mamya's

My blood transfusion meant that:-

I didn't die from a severe post partum haemorrhage at age 37 leaving a husband

I also went on to have another son

I am now in my late 60s and Mr YS and I were blood donors until forced to give up for medical reasons (one being the above transfusion for me) but now younger son regular blood donor and that's brilliant.

If goodlife could be bothered responding he would say that they would have recovered better without the transfusions.

Evidence isn't relevant to a believer.
Wow - a first - Goodlife has actually responded to some posts on AB!

It is a response containing the usual cack-headed self-righteous holier-than-thou garbage, but it is a response, so it's a step in the right direction.

I don't expect a response to this post from goodlife - which suite me fine.
GL, probably won't reply to them as according to JW dogma they have been dead for a long time, but fortunately for us they are still alive to enhance our lives. I wonder if he has given up meat, fish and shellfish yet.
Actually a vegan diet will totally suit JW's - they will be even more miserable and simultaniously self-righteous, and it has another built-in byproduct -

They won't actually live longer, but it will sure as hell feel like longer!!!!

Many thanks for a much needed laugh. :)
it's superstition but before we get too up ourselves over it look at all the people who refused the MMR vacination for their children

That was just as much superstition
Blood bank stocks are pretty low, so in theory it's great news for those of us who want to live that some people don't want transfusions.

The problem is that JWs also want to inflict their nonsense on innocent children.
The reasons for JW's refusing blood are utter twaddle
well that is me goosed i have had black puddings for brekkie every morning this week

pack of 6 £1-10 asda.... yummy
