I recorded this and have just watched the last of 5 episodes. Excellent! Did anyone else watch it? For anyone interested, I highly recommend it.

He also interviewed a man who felt it was the right of the Jews to seize further territories, enabling them to return to all the lands of the bible, an ambition the presenter wholly disagreed with. Unbiased, brilliantly researched, and superbly presented. You’re right Mikey. When the BBC does it, it does it well. Worth every penny of the licence fee.
Theland, I don’t understand why you say there are no Arab refugees in Israel. Why would there be? There are Arabs, but since the land was, and still is, their home, why would they be refugees? Furthermore, I think you will find that although many Jews were indeed evicted from Arab lands, there were also many Zionists who, having a newly formed ‘homeland’ to go to, chose to go. You are right, however, in saying that Palestinian refugees have not been wholeheartedly welcomed in neighbouring Arab countries – and by way of evidence, I’ve seen their cardboard box enclaves.
