...show displeasure at the way things are going down here. Am I right in thinking in this case that this is just a weather event, nothing more?

Not petty, at all. I've long been of the opinion that God has an impish humour.
It's been said that there are none so blind as those who will not see. The evidence is there but some try to explain it away as coincidence.
I don't see how you can possibly say that a tall building, indeed the tallest building in the immediate area, struck by lightning on a day of generally bad weather, is anything other than a coincidence. The fact that someone who was unpopular with some people (and why, anyway, should that mean unpopular with God, whose mind we do not know and would surely have been able to direct His wrath at the person and not the building?) is neither here nor there.

Correlation does not imply causation. Once again, we see here nothing more than the human need to find a pattern where there is none.
what evidence sandy? what am i so blind to?

show me the evidence please... so far a single occurrence that seems like a nice little link up, does not really prove anything.
It's obviously coincidence. Why would God take 3 days to aim straight?

Revenge is a dish best eaten cold
Ah, i see! I thought God forgave.
stunning picture.
Oh, Pixie, when will you ever learn. ;o)
So, these free sandals.....would they have rubber soles?
^^ :o)
;-)

You're not wrong, Pixie. God does forgive. If he didn't he would have directed the thunderbolt at Bishop Jenkins' head rather than at his seat.
Lol. I'll never learn, Naomi. Not while these believers keep contradicting themselves, anyway;-)
Passive aggressive, eh?
killing people and destroying buildings is just 'impish humour'?

must remember that one if i'm ever up in court for murder or arson then...
Question Author
If you ever find yourself in that unhappy position you could try and run that as a defence. I think it would help reduce the length of the eventual sentence if you were found 'guilty but insane'.
Why does your God of Love have/need such a vast armoury ? He's been throwing his weight around since Genesis. Total extinction of life, followed by a few million deaths here ,a few million there.
What a total admission of failure !!
joko, you could always add God made me do it, and see if you get let off.
