(Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6) For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they no longer have any share in what is done under the sun.

Nowhere else in scripture does it say different.

I beg to differ. How do you explain Jesus’ conversation with the long-dead Moses? What was he? (I didn’t add Elijah in there because we have no confirmation of his death. He was simply ‘spirited’ away .... so to speak).

Ghosts certainly DO exist, in the same way that God and magic exist. They are a way of explaining happenings in this world for which we have no other explanation with our current level of knowledge. We thought David Copperfield walking through the Great Wall of China was magic until we found out how he did it.

There might not be any such thing as ghosts ( or then again there might be, I really don't know) but I also wish there wasn't any such thing as a religious poster that keeps copy and pasting the exact same response when no-one acknowledges it the first time. Not everyone believes in your scriptures Pugwash and I got the gist of what you were saying the first time you wrote it. Chill out, people have differing opinions to you, and that's good.

Incidentally, I always find it intriguing when people quote the scriptures as evidence that something is true/false. The scriptures were written by people who BELIEVED that something happened at the time. The story of the creation is a prime example of this - how did the people writing about it know how it happened when they weren't around until AFTER most of it had happened.

This video looks like another drama-film n media studies exercise, adequately done. I'd give the group a B.
Why not an A? Look for the line where the super-shiny-slippy floor begins, along which the victim can scoot himself.
And ask yourself, in how many bocks of flats does the cleaning regime stretch to super-shiny floors in corridors.

The "ghost" just looked like a person wearing black to me, but a bit blurred. Why would a ghost need to walk on the floor? I never understood that in the film- Patrick Swayze walking through people and walls, but didn't go through the floor?

Interesting comments on ghosts and floors.
A girl I used to work with claimed she had seen some Roman soldiers walking about in a computer room in the middle of the night - she could only see the top half of them. It turned out that the room was built on a site which was close to a Roman camp and the ground level now is higher than it was then, hence the "ghosts" were walking on the floor at the level it was when they were alive.

the building complex i last worked in had a bad reputation for ghosts and some would not dare go up in the tank room on their own on the night shift.

the works next door also had a problem, at the top of the yard was a joiners shop and often at night a light would come on and a circular saw machine would start spinning.

one night security and around 10 men surrounded the building, 2 each side with torches, each window was locked on the inside and both doors locked.

the building was checked inside and out and no person was found, when security was sure that no person was inside hiding and all windows doors locked they all went off down the works

when they got about 100 yards away the light came on and the circular saw machine started up again.

no person would go near the joiners shop on the night shift on their own
