The Roman Catholic church has a similar attitude to the ordination of women and the Church of England nearly split over the same issue.
I think The Quakers are pretty clean on the misogynistic front pixie, although I can't be sure. We would expect all those religions that were founded hundreds or thousands of years ago to be a tad backward, but the Church of Latter Day Saints was only invented in 1830 and you would have thought that they could have done it a little better by then.
But when you consider the "Golden Tablets" the multiple wives, child abuse and the "burning bushes" perhaps we shouldn't be too hard on them for not taking women too seriously.

Stupid enough to believe what the Mormon church preaches. Even dumber for thinking she can change it.
I have never understood why women struggle for more power in an institution whose most esteemed doctrine clearly states that women are fundamentally inferior to men.
