So says leading evolutionary biologist Simon Conway Morris. If it transpires that he’s right, what impact will it have on the Abrahamic religions? Are the people of Earth really special, or have those who brought us ‘the word’, Jesus, Mohammed, and Charles Taze Russell included, somehow done the rounds to spread their respective messages to every other inhabited planet in the universe?
John 14:2. In my father's house...
God will have dispatched his begotten children to each of the inhabited planets to bring their inhabitants the words of eternal salvation.
We're nothing special.
Not sure why you've put this into religion rather than science. It's purely speculative so anyone giving answers of the type that I think you're trying to solicit, would also be purely speculative and a waste of time.
The raptor in the bible points to this as well as the koran where a certain section talks of Magog and gog (or something) coming to the earth to bleed the worlds oceans dry and warring with humanity (Or something similar)
If this happens then this proves the prometheus theory
He was negligent in his Godly duties letting Prometheus steal fire. And, in the twisted manner of Greek Gods, he decreed that what was stolen would eventually destroy us all.
The human body has several advantages over other designs we've seen on the planet. I don't think it's too unreasonable to assume that, at least more advanced, aliens, would look similar to us. At least, in the sense of looking more like humans than they do mice, say.
While there is only one God he has many names, Zeus among them. The promise to Noah shows that when the world does end it will be caused by fire.
I believe there are scientists who think that's how it will all end, too.
Well, as the Sun will go Red Dwarf in about 4 billion years, It will obviously become true. If we last that long of course. But we'll be dispersed across the galaxy / universe by then (Cue debate on faster than light travel.....)
