The signs of the end times are upon us.
Never in the history of the world has there been such chaos, war and conflict, famine and pestilence, immorality, and a polarisation fo rich and poor.
The United Nations, national governments, the Vatican, and large corporations call for a new world order based on peace and security, and a one world religion based on ecumenism, a call to faith, ANY FAITH, under the leadership of the pope.
It is time to wake up to the significance of these events.
In addition, our planet is acting in a way never seen before, with earthquakes and tsunamis occurring more frequently, and causing more destruction.
Will you now give some credence to Bible prophecy?
Before it is too late?

I profess that the end is nigh........ in about 1.5 billion years.
>Never in the history of the world has there been such chaos, war and conflict, famine and pestilence, immorality, and a polarisation fo rich and poor.

Wars have been a major feature of the world's history for thousands of years at least.

Can you give examples of when there was significantly less immorality?

Regarding the polarisation of rich and poor, surely that has always been the case and probably always will be. In the UK we used to have a few upper class families, a few middle class and the majority working class poor; now we have some very rich, yes, but also many more middle class and relatively affluent working class. And countries that were extremely poor are now growing economies- India, China etc.

Famine has always existed - it's just that it used to occur worldwide but is now restricted to certain areas such as parts of Africa

>In addition, our planet is acting in a way never seen before, with earthquakes and tsunamis occurring more frequently, and causing more destruction.
Do you have data to support this, please? What about the events that are supposed to have wiped out dinosaurs?

I think your arguments are flawed
I remember many years ago there was a man walking around London with a large placard and on it was the message " The end is near". He was interviewed by a BBC reporter, who asked him how long had he been doing this. The placard bearer replied, "Nigh on forty years".
50 years ago.. 'Earthquake in China only a few thousand dead'
Now..'Earthquake in China only a few hurt'
do you see where this is going Theland?
Daily earthquake list here

http://www.emsc-csem.org/#2w

Select any from the front page list and the page you go to has options including 100+ years of quake history for that locality.

If you follow the site on a regular basis, you will notice how they're routine at some locations in the world. Some recent headline-making quakes have struck in places which weren't getting routine small quakes, like Nepal, for instance. That area has only just stopped having aftershocks, following the killer one, this year.

Yawn . . . . .
"end times upon us"... what! Again ?
Theland, people are clearly terrified by your post! ;-)
The end times are upon us? Never heard that one before...
ooo, I'm so scared.
People who wait until their dotage to sign up for a religion are such a niche market. It's funny how they have to go around, putting the wilłies up people, to get them to sign up while they're still young.

Having recently learned that Revelations was written as early as 65AD, I cannot help but get the feeling that church attendances were flagging, even then and they needed a way to scare people into not deferring their membership. Collection plates do not fill themselves, after all.

Well I am really sorry to frighten some of you, but you have to admit that as far as this sick planet is concerned, it is not business as usual is it?
And of course, good old Jerusalem is ALWAYS in the news. Just will not go away.
Is there any accounting for the fact that the Bible predicts this?
If a prophecy is sufficiently popular, surely people will bend over backward to make it come true, especially if some great benefit is promised at the end?

The bible was evidently written to please a Levantine audience and 1st century converts, brought up as Jewish, would be very familiar with old testament prophecies which, I would be very surprised by if they *didn't* revolve around their capital city and most important temple.

Question Author
I fail to see how the various players in and around Jerusalem could ever conspire to play act just to fulfil a written prophecy.
But you never know. Hollywood and all that.
@Theland

Killing each other, daily, is hardly "play acting". Why do you need to be so flippant about people's deaths?

Can you detail one prophesy, or part of one, and one present day "match", for us, please?

Otherwise, you are merely putting forward a vague suggestion of match-ups and expecting us to connect the dots for ourselves. I am unable to do this for myself because I do not know which bits of bible to google, so as to understand what propecies you are alluding to, because you haven't said.

If you think things are worse than ever now, try imagining what it was like to be living in Europe when the Black Death was sweeping through. That surely must have seemed like the End of Days.
Question Author
Every age has its demons. We just have a lot more at the moment and it's getting worse. We are not solving the worlds problems are we?
@Theland

Question Author
Yes, Jesus spoke in Matt 24 of our world today. Also Jerusalem is as always a problem for the nations as prophesied. The revival of the Roman Empire, that is, the EU. Just a few.
