The Pope's Wrong Message?

He would have had no problem in finding candidates, Rome is awash with Bangladeshis and Pakistanis, though I've not been able to find out why or how they get there.
Rome is also, being the seat of Christianity, the place IS dreams of over-running and turning the Vatican into a mosque.

In my link in the OP, Pope Francis is giving the Muslim 'the full monty', i.e. not only washing his feet but kissing them too! and I can't find in your's any reference to that, except perhaps under the heading, Protestant Practice, in the woodcut by Cranach the Elder, he appears to be doing just that; another mystery.

Mamya, is jesus actually alleged to have kissed feet or is this christian practice just an affectation of clerics desperate to demonstrate their humility.

Jesus said; "For I have given you an example, [the washing of your feet] that you should do [to each other] as I have done to you. I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them."

I think that is a noble sentiment, - but no mention of kissing.

I was simply adding a little more info on what I have always considered to be part of the Maundy Ceremony - I may well be wrong.


The gesture is only wrong in the eyes of some observers and was I'm sure performed as always with good intent.
