Jo....disfellowship in JWs means that a Member of the church has done something so 'orrible, that all the others Members are told to shun and disfellowship that person.
Quite mild offences, such as disbelieving the Watchtower, smoking and fornication are considered suitable for disfellowshipping. The shunning is meant to apply not only to friends of that person, but even close family members.
So..... if you tell a JW, when they knock on your door, that you have been disfellowshipped, they will immediately turn around and run back down your front path, vaulting the front gate if necessary.
