What Is The Point Of Existance ?

Only we humans think we are special, and we have only existed for a few hundred thousand years.
All other organisms have an unaware finite existence.
Even the Universe has a finite existence. So what's the point ?

Its threads like this that made me ask the (new) ED for a philosophy section. I know that its ''ANSWERBANK'' but sometimes there are no answers, just discussion...

you are seriously deranged. When was the last time that you actually thought for yourself rather than copy and pasting watchtower propaganda?
Had many conversations with JWs and its like trying to talk to a plank of wood.

I had a miserable existence in a family who worshiped God......when I abandoned them and their God to live as an atheist my life changed too....for the better....

I have had the most wonderful, happy life ignoring God......and if he does exist I'm with Stephen Fry.....who'd want anything to do with such a cruel being........x

goodlife...like other JWs... are incapable of thinking for themselves.
Its quiet sad that humans need others to think for them and their only means of communication is (on social media) is to copy and paste watchtower articles.
Ive known tons of JWs in real life and they are all like robots. Sad but its their choice to be dick heads.

I do like the idea of a Philosophy section, I'm not bound by the religion of which I was Raised (RC) ... but hold those values true to ones self integrity. As a human, I do believe in a higher plain of existence and would not force the belief on any fellow human on this planet. Which a lot of religions do try to convey.

I'm not religious but I know about family shunning you, its horrible. These nutters need to realise what harm they cause. All the talk about love etc is a bull dump.
