A belief is just that...a belief, which one doesn't have to explain to others in a scientific or philosophical terms....it is a belief.
I see no reason for the "usual " Abers, criticising one's belief.

spathiphyllum, The Royal family does a huge amount to help the UK and the commonwealth. They have started and run hundreds if not thousands of charities and make large donations, but they don't publicise it. Why do you not direct your question to the thousands of millionaires in the world who are only interested in increasing their own wealth at the expense of others?
Over 3000 'Royal' charities to which they donate time and also cash.

I believe that faith is a private matter.
I believe that *all* religions are nonsense.
I believe that each of us has an innate right to believe (in matters of faith) whatever we choose to believe.
I believe that I have a right *not* to have to listen to any religious proselytising.....of whatever kidney.
I believe I am at liberty to get cheesed off by your endless questions about my failure to see things your way, Theland, as I am by your constant assertions that this failure is a result of my stupidity.

Morning all, I've had to go through this thread and delete a few name calling phrases on some answers... Whilst I understand a question like this may ruffle a few feathers, name calling isn't exactly the best way to get your point across, (plus it's rude and unnecessary), so let's try and avoid it, shall we? Cheers ma dears!
