I want to go to church, but the chur church next door although C of E has a lovely lady vicar and is involved in Ecumenism. Couldn't touch it with a barge pole.
So what do I do?

Go to another church. One that you feel entirely comfortable with.
Become an atheist?
Is this a wind-up?

There are hundreds of churches around - surely you can find one that suits your personal beliefs?
I agree with Hazi, if you would feel uncomfortable then go the Church you feel happiest in.
Ask god what to do.
Think of 95 reasons not to go to that Church, write them down and nail it to the door.
You could always try your nearest RC church. No lady priests there.
Surely God or Jesus or the bible has the answer?

Not easy in these days of one size fit all. Ecumenism, tied to the pope, who preaches peace, but not Jesus Christ. A major major difference. Subtle lies.
It's only a difficult choice if you make it o - either stay with what you're happy with or explore.

Start your own church. You have a house next door to a church . Just put up a diversion.
Theland, You were complaining about women in the clergy the other day, and now you seem to be objecting to efforts to encourage greater understanding between churches. But carry on with the ‘my religion is better than yours’ nonsense. That’ll help build peace in the world.

Sorry Naomi, you misunderstand. I don't have a religion. Religion is man made and is mans effort to reconcile himself to God.
That is not me.
