YouTube - Jesus' Resurection Is The Only Reasonable Inference From The Evidence.
J. Warner Wallace.
Wallace is an experienced homicide policeman.
What he has to say is so convincing.
The evidence for Jesus, His life, death and resurrection is once again proven with overwhelming evidence that no atheist can refute without denying facts.
Would you consider these facts?

Nah. it's only hearsay. Maybe Jesus existed, maybe he didn't.
He may even have been a she.
Resurrection per se being evidence of what, Theland?
Nothing unique about it. Ref Elijah, Lazarus and Matthew's account:

"51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many."

Are you aware of the pre-Thelandic theological concept of the Harrowing of Hell?

Yeah right !

And his mother was a virgin when she gave birth (if she was married how come she was a virgin)?

Fairy stories for gullible people.

And to think many of the worlds religions are based on such rubbish.
No if I dont believe the evangelists
why should I believe a bozo from N'Yark ? is he likely to be more credible ?

You believe it or you dont believe it
it is a matter of faith not of fact

a lodda people here cant believe that the Russians use nerve gas in Syria Salisbury ( and perhaps Cyprus)
so jesus knows why you are asking them to credit the resurrection

give it a rest
yeahda first girlie gang ! - I love trenchant theological debate citing the latest ideas
since erm Sappho

but better attested - hey did you know they had just dug up another of Sappho's poems?

at least the last bit is true and attested byu evidence
PP Yes I know, that's old hat ;

......

or put another way;

Oh, not again – ‘Charaxus has arrived!
His ship was full!’ Well, that’s for Zeus
And all the other gods to know.
Don’t think of that,
Is it only in religion that hearsay becomes evidence?
To be fair, there aren't many actual witnesses to cross examine any more. So what folk claim in the past is the only access you have to the claims.
Surely proof he actually existed at all would be a better starting point. There are still no documents from the eye witness period describing anyone who could be the Christian Jesus. Even a rebel leader would invite some comment in the writings of that time.
As your man says, Theland .....

//Do you realise that you determine how you make inferences. As sad as that is it's true. If you presume a certain world view or if you presume a certain reality you will find ways to make the evidence simply affirm your pre-supposition.//

….. and that’s exactly what you do.

J Warner Wallace (who coincidentally is the author of several books – who'd a guessed?) concedes that those crucified do not die within the short space of three hours as Jesus is reputed to have done. I agree with him, and having examined the story from all angles it seems very clear to me that Jesus did not die on the cross, hence no resurrection.
Jesus arose from the dead
With a nasty pain in his head
He said "what did I miss?"
"...was I out on the ***?"
I think I'll go back to bed!

Sorry, just fresh back from the "Cocaine" thread ;-)
It is amazing what rubbish the deluded will accept as fact.
