Our Judeo Christian Heritage.

First of all many thanks to all for your recent sentiments.
I just have to affirm my belief in the fact that our society benefits entirely from our Judeo Christian heritage.
In spite of various apostasies, most notable being the Roman Catholic Church with its Inquisition, but not exclusive to them, the true biblical Christianity shone through, and helped in no small way to influence the whole of Western European culture. This was then exported throughout the world, to the Americas, Australia and New Zealand, and had a tremendous influence of the rest of the world, to such an extent that our culture is now the benchmark that other societies try to emulate.
These are just examples of how Christianity has benefited the whole world.
It is a shame that atheists unthinkingly believe that abolishing this treasured belief would make for a better world.
In our present day society, Christianity is a positive influence, doing good and no harm, and holds out the promise of eternal life to those that believe and accept its true message above and beyond its earthly footprint.
Do you disagree with my views?

An afterthought.
Have you ever used your considerable powers of logic to THOROUGHLY examine the theory of evolution?
Do it and be prepared for a bombshell to your worldview.
Also, don't mistake the religions that are not bible believing, as representative of truth. They are not, and their influence is evil and probably supports your present disdain for the transcendental.

Khandro, Ahhh, truth clearly hurts – but considering you're such an avid defender of 'faith' and the ’faithful’ no need to remind you of the less than savoury foibles of Islam - or of many of the 'workers' within the Roman Catholic church. You'll no doubt know all about those too. Can’t think why you neglected to mention any of that.
If one looks hard enough one can find evidence that supports almost any preconception. That's not how reason works. Realty does not conform to fit ones preferred version of reality and belief is not an inroad to truth. With a big enough hammer one can 'solve' any jigsaw puzzle regardless of whether the pieces you choose to pound into it belong to it or not.
Your pretense of what I think and why only paves your way to nowhere.

Believing what you believe should never take precedence over asking what to believe. I would not ask anyone to abandon their beliefs, only to question what they believe, why and how, and to consider the potential consequences of their failure to do so.
Reason is the application of logic (the art of non-contradiction) to the pursuit of knowledge. Knowing what you know is a consequence of knowing how you know it which requires an understanding of the means and process by which knowledge is acquired and established to be in accordance with reality. It is our knowledge of reality that justifies our beliefs.
Bashing others alleged or supposed world views does nothing to add credence to your own and this applies no less to me, you and anyone else.

Theland, //your [Mibs] conclusion precedes any investigation and unbiased appraisal of the evidence.//
My conclusion didn’t precede any investigation or unbiased appraisal of the evidence. Quite the reverse, Your claim that you know the answers serves to demonstrate your failure to conduct an unbiased investigation.
