Why would I want to 'befriend' a God that admits that it creates evil?
Isaiah 45:7...
//I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things//

How can JC reveal himself when he not exist.
We not all need a saviour
Theland, I don't need a saviour and hence, I don't spend every day quaking in my boots at you do. I accept that one day I shall die. That's life. I guess others here feel the same way.
Quaking in my boots?
Not me Naomi.
I sometimes fear life, but not the afterlife.
You are terrified, Theland. Some life.
What's this Naomi?
Your psychic mind reading act?
Or just fishing with a baited hook?
You can do better than that.
No, Theland. Your own words. You told me a long time again that you're terrified of God. Let's face it, Theland, if the perceived threat of damnation wasn't hanging over you, you wouldn't be worrying as you do. Fear keeps you in your place.

Naomi your post @ 8:39 takes us right back to my OP
//Why would I want to 'befriend' a God that admits that it creates evil?//
and that evil includes the threat of eternal torture for not worshipping him. But Theland has dodged that question and managed to turn it around to his pet subject...Israel.
Par for the course.
Hic
Theland, you say you drink too much. I know quite a few people who drink too much who also think their brains are working.
Fear of God is an awesome respect for the Creator, not as you like to say, a cowardly quaking in the boots.

Nailit, back on the same old tired horse I see.
Not a single word about the chapter and verse I gave you.
The tiresome sneering from you both is exactly that. Tiresome.
I will just leave the pair of you to it.
Give each other a slap on the back.

And not a single word of your own thoughts re: the OP I see?

As regards your Israel prophecies, Ive already provided reasons why they are false. If you are so sure that they are true, then please start a new thread (sans You Tube vids) and we will go from there. In the meantime please feel free to give your 'OWN' thoughts to the original OP.
but prayerfully search the scriptures asking Jesus Christ to reveal Himself to you.
Nigh - [spikily, and sort of "foo den why dat den?", questioning but not insulting] - (it is after all AB ) [ combative and yet not demeaning]
Theland, Why do you want me to do that? [ nigh asks in the spirit of inquiry and innocence - level field and all that sort of thing]

because theland believes that if you pray hard enough
then the true meaning of the scriptures will be revealed

( yeah the rev Dr arfer Yates again)
it is a fair enough view
but may not be a true ....v iew

Theland, lets put it this way, We have talked on and off over the years. We have agreed on certain points and disagreed on others, yes?
I don't hate Christians (or you) as you like to infer from time to time. Some of my friends are Christians (as are naomis I gather). Why you feel the need to denigrate others is beyond me. Just wanting to understand where you are coming from. If you cant question and answer a few simple statements then I really do give up.
Can I ask, or did I miss something Nails? Who has Theland "denigrated" here. You?
Question Author
Togo, just non believers in general over time m8.
Ahh right Nails. You mean like atheists denigrate the religiously inclined, or other factions denigrate their polar opposites? Clear now thank you.
Question Author
//You mean like atheists denigrate the religiously inclined//
Not really Togo, no.
I don't want to denigrate the religiously inclined, I have friends that are that way inclined, but we don't discuss it. If they want to discuss religious matters then I will, if not then fair enough and we get on great.
But if 'opinions' ...whether political, religious or otherwise came up in conversation then I will seek confirmation as to why those views are held.
