Homosexuality And God
46 Answers
Recently read through another thread where it was said that homosexuality was a 'preference'.
Just when are religionist going to understand that someone's sexuality is NOT a preference, its who they are!
Both the Old Testament and the Koran proscribe death to homosexuals and in the New Testament St Paul says that homosexuals are worthy of death. If your own flesh and blood was a homosexual would you agree that they were worthy of death because some ancient literature says so?
And just WHY do hetero religious people seem to think that those with a different sexual orientation are any less than themselves

Christians who despise homosexuality suffer from an inbuilt and planet-sized sense of superiority which they exercise by pitying people who don't live as they claim to - they usually don't in fact.
Homosexuals, have, by the age of puberty, have developed a double-planet-sized sense of acceptance and humour which allows them to accept who they are, who everyone else is, and use humour to deflect the vile condemnation they receive in varying degrees on a daily basis - from devout Christians, among others.
I am neither Christian, or gay, but if I was to be one or the other, I would prefer to be gay any day of the week - I prefer acceptance and humour to poisonous po-faced superior bigotry, as a way to live life.

In spite of my age, and total absence of libido, I still remember the shear pleasure of a beautiful woman, bathed and scented, climbing under the duvet with me, and romance ensued.
I simply do not appreciate the attraction of another man.
I dot understand it, but accept it. Very strange.
But I hate the vigorous promotion of homosexuality, such as the gay pride marches. So unnecessary and very tacky.

I had a fellow nurse refuse to work with me when I was in a lesbian relationship she told me I would burn in bell and back home in South Africa I would probably be beaten to death. I complained and was told I was being culturally insensitive. Obviously black trumped gay back then. She was a vile ***..... claimed to follow the Lord Jesus at every opportunity. I wish her well if we atheists are wrong.

Refusing to be ashamed is not the same as 'promotion'; Pride marches and the subsequent jamborees are a fun day out for all the family. Not unneccessary and the media tend to highlight the bits which you may find 'tacky'.
