Eh?
Well you often pull out your God list don't you?

Yes, and?
I sometimes mention Allah. Where is he depicted in wood or stone?
Bored with this now anyway.
Its naomis thread and going way off topic. (apologies to naomi)

Theland, //There are far too many people eminently qualified that would dismiss your arguments for atheism//

Eminently qualified in what? They no more know the answers than you do.
"Nothing new under the sun", Naomi.

Is that Ecclesiastes or Proverbs?
(Wrong post)
So we have a level playing field. Nobody standing on a hill looking down?
Yawn!
Khandro - have strong coffee!

You are. You keep telling us you know things that no one could possibly know.
Question Author
Ecclesiastes v_e. (I confess I had to google it).
To go back to your question in the title, "Why did it happen?"

Well it was written and it happened, and the agencies bringing it about are irrelevant.

From the centuries of Jewish persecution, the amazing coherence of a nation without a land, the Russian pogroms, Theodore Herzle, WW1, the Balfour Declaration, the rise of Hitler, WW2, the Holocaust, the British Mandate, the U.N. vote, to name just a few, are all the circumstances brought about by Gods will.

That is why it happened.
Theland - // What you atheists lack is any explanations.

"We don't know," is simply not good enough, and should not satisfy you either. //

In line with your standard "I have something you need, and I am a better person for having it, so I can pity and patronise you …" position, you are neglecting one vital point about atheists -

"We don't know …" is absolutely good enough, because you missed out the final bit, which means we don't spend our lives fretting over other people simply because they don't agree with us - WE DON'T CARE!!!!!
Question Author
Theland, //the agencies bringing it about are irrelevant. //

Of course they're not irrelevant. It wouldn't have happened without them - obviously. You can't ignore the facts. Wanting it to be so doesn't make it so, Theland.
You asked why it happened, and then proceeded to list how it happened.
Question Author
The how is why.
the question is why do people link speech before ( prophecy ) with a later event
but dont with others - such as disaster and brexit
and dont look on weather forecasts as prophecy come true

The Jews of course DON'T look on the old T as prophecy for the new

and the muslims - lets drag them in
look on it all predetermined and all truth in the Koran - so you dont have to look anywhere else
( yeah so why doesnt Shameem just say - I will be returned to England if god wills it ... and have done with her own expectations - you tell me)
Peter - shameema- if God wills it - excellent observation.
