I notice that 'religion and spirituality' is now a disregarded topic since the Tory leadership contest has begun. Does that show what people are really interested in?

I'm not sure what point you are making - why do you think 'religion and spirituality' or Brexit have to be the sole focus of attention?

Andy, I don't. I just noticed that Theland and Nailit and me are not posting here very much, now that there's more immediate stuff to worry about, rather than mere eternity and ultimate truth.
Everyone’s watching the women’s World Cup

Perhaps I meant that people are more interested in the kingdom of earth rather than the kingdom of heaven.

Steg, please don't lower the tone.
kingdom of heaven, one of my favourite movies
I think discussing stuff on here doesn't reflect on what people think is important or not.
Some things take priority as they need sorting asap. Other things are long term and will be discussed long after the time critical stuff has been sorted. Gives no indication as to what people are really interested in.
Atheist, I’m still an atheist regardless of Brexit. I never got involved in discussions in R&S but enjoyed reading them. Sometimes there’s nothing more to be said. People don’t change their views and it just goes round in circles.
That could apply to religion and Brexit, of course.
Religion and Spirituality a disregarded topic? As far as I'm aware you're not around here much, Atheist, so look at the other threads. Theland and Nailit have posted very recently - as have others.
It’s disregarded. But then you admit you haven’t been posting. Well........there’s only yersen t’blame lad.
I think there is a correlation in that Brexiteers are constantly praying for a resolution!
Where would Noah have been if a no deal Brexit had been on the cards for 40 days and nights?
Than God that Brexit will eventually come to pass, and then we can all gather together, break open the spirits, and celebrate.
If you see Nailit, ask him to return my slippers.
Sorry Theland, I'll get them back pronto. Apologies tho, the pink bow came off them!
There a big big difference,The holy spirit produces in a person such qualities as “love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, self-control.” These qualities—which the Bible calls “the fruitage of the spirit”—mark a truly spiritual person. (Galatians 5:22, 23) In short, a spiritually-minded person is one who is guided by God’s spirit.

Many atheists possess all those qualities. How do you explain that?
I haven't met one yet. only those who study Bible and change.
Goodlife, perhaps that's because you're obsessed with listening to your own voice. Try listening to other people. You could learn a lot.
