The idea of been tortured forever is sick beyond belief.
If there's one thing (actually there are many) that turns me off from Christianity, its this idea that unbelievers will be tortured beyond belief for not believing in the God of love.
(Anyone else here see the contradiction)??

In Ezekiel 26 God states that Nebuchadnezzar would conquer, sack, and completely destroy the city of Tyre and that Tyre's land would never be built upon again.
Since Nebuchadnezzar is now dead, and Tyre is clearly visible on Google maps/streetview, one can only conclude that this is a failed prophecy!
No future needed...ITS A FAILED PROPHECY.

Naomi, as a teenage Christian, I remember questioning *THAT* particular prophecy...the one about jesus returning in the time of his generation.. and the answers that I got verged on the ridiculous. Numerous interpretations of what exactly 'generation' meant etc?
The obvious explanation (it was wrong) was ignored...
