Most people who visit R&S know that Im an ex fundamental Christian. (Im worthy of eternal damnation according to the Bible for been an apostate...)
Just wondered how many people here were once religious but who arnt now??
(I know of a couple of ABers who would fit this bill)

Not really intending argument/debate etc...just a question (out of curiosity) but we all know how these things go in R&S!!
Thanks.

Seances providing information no one knew about previously. Olfactory phenomena. Mediums giving messages from those they claimed they sensed from ancestors not known at the time. The usual stuff.
Nailit, I don't usually pull people up about their spelling and grammar, but "I arn't"? That had me laughing. I now view you as a country bumpkin lol
He's a Stokie. It happens. :-)
" Nailit - Plese speak with recognised authority, not just your unauthorised opinion."
This applies to you as well, Theland, you only think you have a recognised authority, your opinion is just that, your opinion, not as you say the truth.
I was raised as a Roman Catholic and adhere to the values of life as best as one can even to this day (Allegedly ;-) but have to say after three RC schools the third been a Grammar run by priests, church every Sunday etc... I never really lost any faith just learnt that religions tend to fluck people up as I got older and gave it up.
The RC church is apostate. Rev 17.
Like I posted flucks people up, prime example... aren't you. As an aside I will be seeing a Bishop this weekend and not the creepy reverend type.
Don't start him on the cult of RC, he'd have me burnt at the stake, well I am wicked aren't I?
Yes my dear Xx
Besides Mamya I was actually answering Nailit's OP and saying about my up bringing.
Where does the Bible mention the Roman Catholic faith?
Sorry, yes I realise that.

I get cross , which is rare when Theland has a go - he comes out with some bile and vitriol towards anyone who has a different view and I have hardly ever done that.
I'll shut up x
Mamya - With respect, RC use a different bible, pray to dead people, worship statues, worship relics, and the mass is Christ being crucified all over again.
Celibacy is the doctrine of Devils, (Paul), and the infallibility of the pope is evil.
There is more.
Rev 17 for starters. The *** of Babylon.
Mamya - I always respect and listen to your thoughtfulness.
As a Vampire Mamya... I'm after you with the stake, as in...

Please Mother of lord and all that is holy please somebody put a Steak in me...

Respect to Jourdain at 2204. This is a lady who I will always respect with regards to her faith. Why?
Unlike those who continually disparage the faith of others she always keeps her own council.
I am beginning to see that the most boring people on this R&S site are those who proclaim to be atheists and are most prolific in venting their spleen.
Some of us ' God Botherers' don't give a toss about you ramming your atheitism down our throats. I get the feeling you can't handle it and are not happy with it. Certainly not my priority in my life.
Good Night.
I can hear you, always. x
I dated a Salvation Army girl once you know.
We have four cats. Two Ragdolls. .one stays upstairs in my room. In bed, I lean up on one elbow to read my bible. Bony jumps up and butts the bible wanting a belly tickle.
Much prayer needed, and cat biscuits. :-)
