You'd like to think, in 2019, that people had grown-up and realised what total rubbish religion is.
In 2013 an American had a torn placenta and prayed to Cardinal John Henry Newman to stop the bleeding - and lo and behold, the bleeding stopped.
That's what people in the real world with a grasp of reality call a coincidence.
I wish religionists would sometimes consider what they think objectively. If they did you'd hope they'd have an epiphany and realise they're being ridiculous.
I genuinely believe that people who believe in god and heaven and so on have a form of mental illness. If I swore blind in the existence of leprachauns, people would quite rightly question my sanity....and yet even though there's as much proof in the existence of god (i.e, NONE), were meant to take their nuttery seriously and respect it.
Madness.

I genuinely believe that people who believe in God and heaven and so on have a form of mental illness is a very unfair thing to say. Haven't you cottoned on yet that religion is probably the main reason for the fighting and killings that go on around the world? People who believe, people who don't. Worshippers of this religion, worshippers of another religion. Why do those of you who do believe keep trying to change the opinions of those who don't and visa versa? People knock on my door trying to preach to me about their religion, why? I don't go knocking on their door to tell them they've got it wrong. My Mum was a firm believer and she certainly didn't have a mental illness. Her faith brought her comfort and what's wrong with that? I have my own opinions on religion and don't find the need to share them. However, I do believe in the words that John Lennon wrote.
Imagine there are no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too

In the 20th century Britain was involved in WW1, WW2, the Korean war, Iraq & the Falklands war - have I missed any?
Please explain the religious dimensions of these conflicts

Religion is said to be the "main" cause, not the only one.
Religion is clearly a mental condition (it is not a physical one), but "illness" just depends how detrimental it is to your life, so the majority of religious people are not mentally "ill", but some are- which may or may not be down to religion itself. But probably isn't.
