I'm curious.
Why is he nutty as a fruitcake?
What did he say you disagree with?
Nical - that doesn't make sense.
Theland, ‘There are no prophecies in the Koran’ he says. ‘Prophecies are absolutely unique to this book’, he says, thumping the bible before launching into readings of several biblical texts - which was when I gave up waiting for his ‘proof’. Another obsessed preacher who hasn’t done his homework - but who among his audience would know? You’re all too busy with your bibles to bother with anything else. Furthermore, I’d have expected anyone au fait with sources of ‘prophecy’ to, at the very least, mention Nostradamus. Crikey, if his ‘prophecies’ were in the bible, think what a meal you - and you man - could make of those!
Why is he nutty as a fruitcake, what did he say that was wrong?
Theland, maybe you were being deliberately obtuse? As a non-believer, I have no beliefs - so how can I, as you appear to expect, give you evidence to support this? As for rejecting 'any evidence that challenges them', you have failed, dismally and frequently, to provide anything that could be regarded as 'evidence'. Thoughts yes, suppositions yes, evidence … never.
Nical - Apologies. I thought "non" believers, actually believed that science would answer the questions, from within the universe.
Thanks, Theland - I'm relieved that your false assumptions were to blame. I think you know very little about the thought processes of many people, non-believers included.
Saved from yourself nails. Your your own worst enemy.
Theland - // Nical - Apologies. I thought "non" believers, actually believed that science would answer the questions, from within the universe. //

Unlike you, and a couple of others on here, the majority of 'non believers' couldn't care less how they got here, they are simply not bothered - a fact which you and other fog plaiters seem incapable of comprehending.
If Theland could prove it surely it would be a fact, but because he can not prove it that is why it's called faith.
Just a thought, if there's no god who's going to save the queen?

//The punishment as you call it is your choice//
How so?
My question was a serious one. Fundamental christians tell me that I need to be saved. I ask from what?
Because all I can see is that the very person who can 'save me' (Jesus) is the same person that will damn me. And if the same person that can 'save' me is the same person that will damn me for not believing then free will goes out of the window.
Its no longer a 'choice'. Its an ultimatum.

Yes I can be....that doesnt mean that I deserve to be tortured forever. Does it???
Nailit

//that doesnt mean that I deserve to be tortured forever. Does it???//

Why do you think you are being tortured? It seems from this and previous posts that you are looking for "something", I'm just not sure what that something might be.
Maggie - // Why do you think you are being tortured?//

Nailit said he didn't deserve to be tortured, not that he was being tortured.

Are you joining the Khandro / Theland club and constantly looking for things that actually aren't there?
Question Author
//Why do you think you are being tortured?//
I dont.
I was referring to that disgusting theology that says that if you dont accept (insert your own religion here) that God will judge you to an everlasting eternal torment.

//It seems from this and previous posts that you are looking for "something"//
No kidding? Arnt we all? That why humans have developed the scientific method. We are ALL looking for answers. That doesnt mean that we have to have blind faith in a religion because we dont yet know the answers to some things.

Sorry cross posted with my fellow Stokie :-)
Theland, you've asked me the same question twice. I answered it the first time.

Religious people will keep on asking the same question in different ways until they think that they have stumped you while having their fingers stuck firmly in their ears the first time that you answered them....
Nailit - pot/kettle springs to mind. Why do you keep asking the same questions when you know Theland's stance? Personally think you like baiting Theland and, unfortunately, he rises to the bait every time.
I think Theland is desperate for endorsement of his beliefs.
