It is painful to watch a loved one suffer and die. We naturally grieve such a loss.

It is comforting to know, however, that our Creator, understands our grief. More than that, he longs to use his almighty power to restore life to the dead. Notice the hope conveyed in the words of Job, recorded at Job 14:14-15,says
If a man dies, can he live again?
I will wait all the days of my compulsory service
Until my relief comes.
15 You will call, and I will answer you.
You will long for the work of your hands.

// Me? Call me what you like mon cheri ;-)//
oh I like Big Boy but no one hardly ever calls me that

Biblically - god the blue pencil really has gone thro the musings of the Dream Team - I was going to use:
"are you the christ - - you say that I am"
but ..... in fact it is....

But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

this is a biblical thread - my comments from Daniel and Ruth ( books of ) have gone up in smoke
sic transit baby

did Jesus ever say - look yu lot you should be writing all this down ....
Is existence outside of this physical reality legitimately called "living" ? Surely it should have a different word to describe the changed state of being.

Meanwhile, define "dies". Plenty in the past will have been declared dead, yet with modern knowledge of "brain death" would have been revivable.

The answer may be not man but Terminator.

"I'll be back" says it all really.
erm I dont think they had nuclear reactors at the time of Christ
Brain death isn't revocable. But we do have a bit of a problem with definitions. Sometimes, people think they have died because their heart has stopped for a short time, but they haven't.
It's also possible to be "dead" when the lower brain functions are still working, like breathing... but basically once your brain has run out of oxygen and died... that's it.

oh I like Matrix better - you dont have to guess - one of the characters is called john the Baptist
"erm I dont think they had nuclear reactors at the time of Christ"

'I will make you fission of men'

I win. :-)
