I fervently believe there is a pink flying haggis monster.

Any proof otherwise ?

I think you would enjoy looking into Pastafarianism, SK - see the above Wiki link.

No more than you are, naomi.

Theland, I’ve just read your post again. Pretty bizarre to say if it was natural it would have been explained. Do you really think we’ve explained everything in the natural world?
naomi24. I’m with you on this point. We lived in a very haunted house. Seven kids two adults. The attic was a main source of the haunting. A captain Durell had died there. His spirit did not understand why the house had kids in it. Bell on wall in bedroom ringing, no draft. Many timeS hear him coming down the stairs pause outside bedroom door, turn doorknob but not enter. Room go ice cold then warm. He was a bully. There’s lots more. We lived there one year. After we left the house was empty for many years. I hope he found peace.
David, I’m curious. How did you know
he had a problem with the children - and how did you know he was a bully?
Sorry for delay naomi24. Because mother and father had no experiences or a least to us said they did not. I know my mother did but said nothing. Re the bully comment. He chose his time and places carefully, always one of us kids, either singly or a group three or more. He wanted the children gone. The slow turning of the door handle springs to mind. Imagine three kids listening to him coming down the bare attic stairs, pausing at the door of the bedroom, and the door handle slowly turning.
We had a large dog who wouldn’t go anywhere near the attic.
You can have your pink flying haggis monster. I can tell that millions of human lives have been transformed by Jesus Christ. How many have been transformed by the pink flying haggis monster? I will be interested in you telling me
"...in my opinion nothing is ‘supernatural’."

Dancing In The Moonlight?
Just for you, douglas.

many human lives have been harmed or destroyed by their belief in a God. Fiveleaves.
I think fiveleaves has suffered a sense of humour failure.
perhaps but it seems to me that many people use their religion as a weapon for bad. That people have suffered and continue to suffer because their so called faith
has denied them the right to birth control for instance.
The Judeo Christian influences in spite of some negatives has been the foundation of Western European culture and civilisation, exported all over the world, and so on the whole a positive advance.
Its erosion by neo Marxist forces is proving its value as what replaces it is constraining dictatorial and dangerous.
what happened before Jesus came along, people had beliefs presumably, were good or bad to one another, life didn't just start off with Jesus and his teachings.
Quite right. Many worshipped Baal and sacrificed their children.
Many still do. Abortion clinics do a roaring trade.
people shouldn't be denied the right to birth control because their Pope or whoever said that is wrong. Back street abortions were rampant, where many women died - would you rather have that back again. Women having to move from their homeland to come to England perhaps to have it done, all because their nonsensical religion forbade them from having it done in their home countries.
I’m not sure which is the greater moral dilemma. Aborting a foetus possibly due to extenuating circumstances - or condemning a young baby to a slow and lingering death in order to punish his parents. What do you think, Theland?
That's a good point. Worth discussing.
But how many babies were aborted before and after legal abortion?
Answer the question then.
