Do difficult times draw you closer to God or repel you from Him?
People respond to tragedy in different ways, some turn to God and find some solace in Him, others are so angry or hurt they turn away from God.
I was thinking the other day perhaps this is it. Perhaps pubs and restaurants will never re-open. What if we are never allowed to travel abroad again?
I wouldn't mourn the demise of Weatherspoons but never being able to travel again would be very hard to take. Would it affect my faith? I would hope not

But I want to testify that trusting God in difficult times (even finding joy through trials!) is possible for any of us.
I know because my husband and I have had to trust God through hard times on several occasions:
chronic illness in marriage,
scary health issues with our kids,
intense parenting battles,
miscarriage, and so many more.
And today, I want to teach you the practical insights I've learned so that you can stay strong during this trial and trust God despite the difficulties!
I want to show you that yes, it is possible to have HOPE and JOY when you're trusting God through a difficult time.

Lots of people have taken up new hobbies during this pandemic and religion is certainly a potential with the benefit being very little cost, but can be confusing to the newcomer though as there are so many different flavours to choose from and they all claim to be the best one, a bit like the washing powders. Not really for me though, I've taken up computer programming and gardening when the weather gets a bit better.
