The United States Of America was founded on Christian principles, by Christians, who gave due regard to God.
God blessed them, to become the richest most powerful nation on Earth.
Then began the long process of pushing God out of the public arena, the educational institutions, and the ascent of atheism.
Added to that, millions of unborn babies have been aborted, in the name of social justice and progress.
This is not pleasing to God, and so what has He done?
He has inflicted Joe Biden on them, and the country is already going to the dogs.
Illegal crossings on the Mexico border are at a fifteen year high.
God is punishing the USA, and will continue to do so.
Problems will increase, piling up to even more social unrest, economic instability, and military compromises.
God is not mocked.
Watch the USA pay for its disloyalty.

What privileges you to know why God is punishing anyone (if indeed s/he is)? Might not the alleged punishment be due to the appalling treatment during the time when slavery and plantations were legal? Or does God only punish for things that you think are morally wrong?

Question Author
Dmorgans - how many people do you think actually owned slaves?

As for abortion, murder is murder by whatever name.
Surely some of the most active (professed) Christian sects are prevalent in the USA - why would God want to punish them.

Theland - I think your physical problems/medication may be warping your mind a little bit. Take it easy.
Interesting - God 'punishes' one lot of 'his' people by letting another lot of 'his' people come and live alongside them.

Ot is it because Mexicans are mostly Catholic, so they don't count as God's 'people', and are perhaps more of an infestation punishment, like locusts and frogs?

Just curious.
Yes, theland- abortion is never murder. What is wrong with you?
There is only one person who has the right to say whether or not a foetus is brought to term or not, and that is the woman carrying it.

For anyone else, whatever their high-handed religious principles, which are easy when you are sure of never being put in the position of having to make that choice, it is simply none of your business.

And if you seriously think that any woman anywhere ever undergoes a termination because of 'social inconvenience', you simply fogorn your utter ignorance of what pregnancy means, and how losing a baby for whatever reason, is something that is going to haunt every woman who does so until her dying day.

It's funny how it's almost always men, and religious men at that, who trumpet about things they know less than nothing about.

It makes me ashamed of my gender.
Abortion is killing a human life -thats murder is'nt it? I don't mean an abortion at under 12 weeks, though technically that still is killing a life -but its still legal to kill a baby under 24 weeks and many people give birth to babies younger than this and they survive.
Andy - women who make a decision to end a pregnancy don't 'lose' their baby -they kill it.
It's illegal killing, apg.

Forgive me if I choose not to get into a battle of emotional semantics won't you - my view remains the same.
Ideally there would be no unwanted pregnancies but the the carnal nature of humans doesn't allow for that.

Women terminate pregnancies for a vast array of reasons, none of them I believe connected to the 'inconvenience' argument put forward by the pompous clowns hiding their own bitter narrow-minded prejudices behind a cloak of imagined religious respectability.

I can't imagine anyone making that decision lightly, or not living with it for the rest of their lives.

Your view that it is 'killing' doesn't make the decision any easier, it's already impossible to make it any harder.
Semantically, it's wrong. Removing any human from their "life support" isn't killing them. It is withdrawing external support. Which is why neither are illegal. There is a difference between "killing" someone, or no longer "supporting" them.
//The United States Of America was founded on Christian principles, by Christians//
Where do you get that nutty notion from?

(Long after the founding fathers)
If America is such a great Christian country,
Which one of their many denominations/sects/churches would you align yourself to if you lived there?
(Being as you seem to think that all UK churches are either apostate or in error in some way)
Theland; you start by claining that America is a Christian country, then move on to abortion.
The USA constitution was designed to prevent one religion bullying another (in order to save the European immigrants from being persecuted by those Europeans who had persecuted them in Europe.)
The European persecutors had usually been Christians of another sect.
The USA constitution has since been the target of corruption by the Christian right wing, who seek to prevent children being educated rationally, and seek to impose their God-given doctrines on everyody they can get their hands on.

Thats what Theland (and other religionist do)...
Move on to another subject.
Change the goal-posts and start again.
And somehow they are always right.
It's like trying to have a conversation with an eel.
