Only the bible describes the state of the world as we head into the End Times.
Only the bible has verifiable prophecies that can be tested for truth.
Is it not time to take the bible seriously?

the letter in the Times today said: Bible Studies Dear Sir, Keith Elliott writes about the debate over the exclusive authority of the New Testament (credo letters). Christians believe that canonical scripture was established under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. That some books entered the canon 'by the skin of their teeth' is immaterial....

n. Didn't Jesus prophesy that He would be betrayed by one of His own disciples ?
Hmmmm…. but why? Think about it.
Or the holy land would be ruled by gentiles:

' And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled (Luke 21:24).'

That sure worked out didn't it?
Khandro, what on earth are you talking about?
//I have all the answers necessary, straight from the bible//

Answered with, (& I quote...)
//your comments are unsurprisingly naive and childish, with a petulance that blocks you learning//

LOL!

Thats all Iver ever heard in 4 DECADES of enquiring of from Christian friends/acquaintances.

//Khandro, what on earth are you talking about? //
Wondered the same myself...
Perhaps hes had a spliff or two??

What utter gobbldy-gook .
Khandro, what are you talking about?
Seriously?
//Didn't Jesus prophesy that He would be betrayed by one of His own disciples ?//

NO.

Whoever wrote the gospel said that.
(The original Gospel that the others are based on)
No record anywhere, of any HISTORICAL Jesus, anywhere, at anytime, ever having said that.
//Only the bible describes the state of the world as we head into the End Times.//
Since your post a week ago, Ive searched the Bible (again) for such prophecies, alas in vain.

Nowhere can I find ANYTHING to do with a world-wide pandemic
(Thought that might have been mentioned)

Nowhere can I find a mention of a heatwave (similar to the one we had in the 70's)

Nowhere can I find any mention of a COVID passport
(If you attempt to attach the number of the beast, 666, to this, then I will ask what has that got to do with your forhead)

Not only does the Bible *NOT* describe the end times,
It positevly gets it wrong!! (If you believe that we are in the end times)

(Waits for the Israel prophecy while ignoring all the others)

Matthew 24 - pestilenceS.

The Nile drying up? Happening now.
Egypt was laid waste by invasions and never recovered its former glory as in the days of the pharoes. All true.

Three invasions of Israel, enslaving the Jews, scattered to the four winds, but remained a nation, a people, hated, abused, their name a byword for abuse :- all true, beyond dispute.
The Jews regathered to the land, (Theland), to prosper for a while before the time of Jacobs Trouble.
All coming true right now.

Atheists don't like this, neither to mainstream Protestant and Catholic churches who get everything wrong.

Check it out.
Theland, is there any point in asking you to develop this point?
\\ Atheists don't like this//
What you have written previously to that statement doesn't concern me therefore like/dislike doesn't apply.
Question Author
Vulcan I'm delighted to talk about this, but my posts are often blurred by comments that try to tie me up in knots without sticking to the point and unpicking the material to get to the truth.
OK let's start again.
I posit that the bible is true and can be shown to be true.
The Old Testament Prophets are a good place to start.
Ask yourself if their prophecies are true?
They are
Check them out against history, even recent history, and contemporary events.
I appreciate your continued interest.
Question Author
Luke 21:25 perfectly describes the world as it is now.
I am not surprised, or worried as I believe God is on His throne and in perfect charge of His creation watching the events happen as that unfold, and in perfect harmony with His warnings foretold through His prophets.
Question Author
Nailit, you mock the prophecies concerning Israel without realising a fundamental truth of the bible, that Israel are Gods special chosen people, from whom salvation comes for the whole world.
Israel is Gods timepiece for the world.
Ignore it and you miss the biggest clue to understanding that bible.
How can you claim to have read it so many times, studied it for so many years, yet missed this ultra important truth?
Theland, dance around it all you like but the Nile has never dried up and Egypt has never been laid waste.
Question Author
Ah the history revisionist has arrived.
And there you go again. No answers so you revert to nastiness.
Question Author
Egypt was a superpower in days gone by, then laid waste by invasions.

The Nile is in contention between Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia because of the fear of it drying up on account of the Ethiopian dam.
Question Author
No nastiness. You revise history to suit.
I know about Ethiopia. The Nile has never dried up and Egypt has never been laid waste. And yes, you are nasty.
Question Author
Do stop your snootiness.
